Introduction
ORBIT is a tool to help you create invitations to invite your friends to arts events. Registered users can track their guests responses online and be notified when guests post their replies. MY ORBIT is where you can keep track of your invitations and update your personal settings.

1 Creating Your Invitation
Create your invitation by following these 4 easy steps. (see below) When these four steps are completed then you can preview and send your invitation. At anytime in the process you can start over or change or discard your invitation. If you log on and register then your invitations can be saved and viewed online. You can create a more personal invitation by including your name in the registration process. This way, the invitations will be from you rather then just your email address. You can also track the responses to your invitation online as well. Here’s the process:
4 EASY STEPS:

  1. CONFIRM YOUR EVENT: First select the event you would like to use. If no event is selected in this section of the invitation, then simply click on the link to THE MUSIC, and scroll through to view the events. Use the “SELECT” button to select this event and bring you back to the Create INVITATION Page.
  2. CHOOSE YOUR TEMPLATE: There are a number of choices to use. Once you have selected your event, then you can choose your template. Please note that if no event is selected then the template previews will not be available. Click on one from the drop down menu and click on the Change button to preview it. You can always go back and change this later!
  3. ADD YOUR MESSAGE: In this section you can type whatever message you would like to include in your invitation. This is a good place to talk about where you might meet for dinner, or about how you will be paying for the tickets, or your personal connection and interest in the particular program or artists, or why this is a special occasion.
  4. ADD GUEST LIST INFORMATION: Enter the email addresses of those you would like to send invitations to. You can even send a copy of the invitation to yourself by including your email address in your list. Please note that this information is completely confidential and no one has access to this list but you. Be sure to click on the “Get Notified” button if you would like to receive an email notification when your guests reply. (This feature is for registered members.)

Once this information has been completed then you are ready to preview your invitation. Just click on the NEXT button. You can always go back and change your invitation.

2 Previewing Your Invitation
In order to preview your invitation you need to be sure to complete the four easy steps noted above. You can not preview the invitation unless you’ve filled in these sections. When you are at the preview page you can always go back and change your template, your message or even your guest list. For example, you could just put in one email address to start, preview your invitation, then go back and update with your full guest list. You can also go back and select a different template, then click NEXT to view the new template. All your information will be kept in the new template.

3 About Logging In and Registering
We encourage you to register so that you can take advantage of the special online features of the site. You can register with just your email and a password, or you can enter more complete information so that we can provide better service to you. You can create a more personal invitation by including your name in the registration process. This way, the invitations will be from you rather then just your email address.
Registering also allows you access to MY ORBIT. In the MY ORBIT section, you can change your personal settings and track your invitations and responses online.

4 Sending Your Invitation
Once you have previewed your invitation you are just about ready to send your invitation. If you have not already logged in you will be asked to choose from 3 sending options.

  1. Log In - Returning users simply need to enter their email address and password.
  2. Sign Up - New users can register now
  3. Just Send - For this option, simply enter your email address and the invitation will be sent to your guests using your email as the return address.

5 Viewing Your Sent Invitation
You can view your invitation at any time by Logging In to MY ORBIT.

6 Tracking responses
Once your invitation has been sent, your guests will receive invitations in their email. If you selected the “Notify Me” option either on your invitation or in MY PROFILE section, then you will receive an email notification whenever one of your guests replies. These notifications include a link to your invitation so you can view their responses online.

7 MY ORBIT
This section includes the invitations you’ve sent previously as well as your personal profile information.
MY EVENTS - This is where you can view the invitations you’ve previously sent. You can also send an email to your entire guest list here.
MY PROFILE - Change your personal settings in the MY PROFILE section. You can create a more personal invitation by including your name here. This way, the invitations will be from you rather then just your email address.
